Error scheduling report with multiple ODBC connections

Hi, I'm using CR8.5 and Seagate Info.

On my desktop, I can create and execute a report that accesses two separate ODBC databases (one is SQL, and the other is MS Access 2000).

Data is returned and all is good. I need to do this as I have definitions and user category groupings in the Access database that is based on some detail fields in the SQL database.

However, when I schedule the report on the Info APS (which has the same ODBC connections created, and when the report is run interactively on the APS, it works OK) the scheduler returns an error saying it's unable to open the SQL server.

I'm really stumped and would love some help if anyone can spare a though or two.

Cheers,
Pete

Pete,

Two "suspects" that come to mind, but let's start with the 1st one:

Is your ODBC connection to SQL Server using "integrated" authentication whereby the NT User ID is used to authenticate (rather than database user id & password)?

If that is the case, perhaps during scheduled operations that User ID is no longer the owner of the process that runs the report... Check, and switch to User ID & Password authentication in the ODBC setup of that data source.

Cheers,
