Hi to all,
I’m running several script at night in the crontab and each morning I got a mail with that error message : logname: could not find entry in /etc/utmp.

My script seams to work fine but if I don’t check my mail for a wile, I got like 5000 message all saying the same thing.

Thanks for the help!

Either don't use su in your script or redirect the stdin and stderr to a log file (>/path/to/file.log 2>&1))

Hope This Helps, PH.
