Error receiving from socket

Hi,
i've installed WebSphere Applicaton Developer 5 on my computer. The operating system is: Windows 2000.

I try to connect to a IMB DB2 DataBase to a remote machine.
I can't connect due to this error:

[IBM] [JDBC Driver] CLI0615E Error receiving from socket, server is not respondig. SQLSTATE=08S01

I don't know to do !!!!!
