Has anyone ever seen the error "RC = 1"? I get it after running some of my scripts in UNIX and then my entire sessions terminates. Any info you can offer is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Laura.

In some of your scripts you should have something like this:
RC=$?; [ $RC -ne 0 ] && echo "Error RC = $RC"

Hope This Helps, PH.

/etc/init.d/rc{,S} or telinit may have been told somehow to switch to the first runlevel, which is single user mode.
