Hi all,

Here is an interesting error. I dont know why is this.. I made a standalone exe, used Setup Factory 5.0 to pack, and it runs smoothly in my machine. But as usual, when it went to the clients all around the world, it said.. (as i saw in another thread, Satan proclaimed...)

"Please insert Disk #2. If the files on this disk can be found in another location, for example, on another drive, enter the full path or click the Browse Button to select the path."

Can any one help me on this?
Thanks a lot..

Did you distribute it on physical floppy disks, or did you put it on a network share all in one directory?

If the latter, I'm pretty sure it's expecting the contents of diskette one to be in a folder called "Disk1", and diskette two to be in a folder called "Disk2", etc.

chiph,

thanks for the post.

The setup was meant for download from the Net. So it is a single exe file, and is just zipped up to save another couple of KBs. Users download the exe, run it, and install the product. At any point of development, there was a splitting of this file !

When i googled (!), some others were also experiencing similar problems, so i think am not the first one, but none seems to have a solution.. Any ideas?

I don't know, then.

Have applied the latest Visual Studio 6.0 service packs? I know the P&DW was updated in at least one of them.

Thanks Ciph and John

I have VS SP5 already installed . And for the first time in my life, i feel sorry I am not using PDW !!!

But there are some links available in google with similar error description, sadly, none throws light to a solution.

Thanks again
