When I enter data in my sub form I get a Microsoft Access message saying "Field can not be updated". I press the OK button and then I am able to enter my data. This happens When I go to the first field (which is a date field) I start to enter my data and I get Microsoft Access Message "Field can not be updated". I press ok and then I am able to input my data. Each record I try to enter it says the "Field can not be updated" but then after pressing ok it does let me update the field. How can I stop this Microsoft error from occurring?

This is because you probably use a combined recordsource for the form. That won't work. In that case you have to code you're entry to the specific table.
