We have few XP workstations that still have Outlook2000 installed. When trying to use OmniForm and send a form to another internal mail recipient we get the message "Either there is no default mail client or the current client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run MS Outlook and set it as the default client."
I tried uninstalling the entire Office2000 suite, used a cleanup tool (MSICUU2.exe), reinstalled it as administrator on the domain (which has caused the least amount of individual user reinstalls for us), and now the stinking program is trying to set itself up everytime we start it. It is acting like the registry is not registering the full install. AND, if you try to add/remove features with the original CD it shows the Outlook choice darkened (like it's not really installed). BUT if you expand the Outlook options they are ALL installed!
It seems to me this happens more frequently
when Office is upgraded AND windows is upgraded
too, which is the case for this machine. It seems like a registry problem that we just can't get undone.
The Office2000 is fully patched, so is XP (NOT SP2 though)
HHEEEEEEELLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP!
