I have been trying to sort this error out and can not get it. Any help? It occurs on opening the form or went trying to advance to the next record. There are check boxes on the form. This is in Access XP - 2000 format

I do not know if this is going to help but give it a go. It is hard sometimes to solve a problem when you are not in front of it.
It sounds like what it is trying to do is set the checkbox value of a new record to 0.

you may want to check the default value of each of your checkboxes in your form as well as the default value in the table.

what may have happened is when you created the table you forgot to change the data type to Yes/No and may have left it as a number.

If number was selected your table will have automaticly have set the default value to 0

So in this case if you do not click the checkbox in the form the table will automaticly try and enter the table default value into a new record.

Have a hunt around for 0 in the default value.

Hope this helps

Thanks Zero. I believe I found the problem; it had to do with the Time Date Picker ocx I was using. It has a check box on the date control. Apparently the box was enabled and left to default state of false. Strange stuff.
