Error opening file

I have a large lotus 123 wk4 Release 9 file that I use for keeping track of data - approx 4600kb. It is password protected. Unfortunately, and until recently, I do not have a backup. A couple of days ago, my computer froze while on the net. While on the net I had the Lotus file open. Because of the freeze up, I had to power off. Now when I try to open after typing the password, it says "Error opening or saving file." I tried saving to Excel, but it wont save a password protected file. Also, I tried recovering this file through Fix It Utilities. I have zipped the file and resent it to myself, reopening, but no luck. I have tried Word, changing the file to wk3 format, tried FILE COMBINE in Lotus, but still no luck. Because of the encryption feature, if I do get it opened, I get junk. Anyone have any ideas in retrieving this damaged file? I am at a loss here. Thanks.
