I would appreciate it if someone could offer some help on this one!
I have been trying to open/link to a couple .dbf files using MS Access (2002) without any success. Instead, the message I keep getting is "External table is not in the expected format". Clicking "HELP" isn't offering much, only telling me that it's (Error 3274) and that I should try again. I've also tried using ODBC without any success.
A piece of information that seems relevant; for each .dbf file there is a corresponding .cdx file. For example, for "test.dbf" there is also "test.cdx" and so on.
I'm not sure exactly what I'm looking at here, or what the solution is. I have been able to open the .dbf files using MS Excel, but this is of little use as I know for certain that the total number of records is somewhere in the neighborhood of 125,000, and Excel allows around 65,000.
Please help!!
