Hi,

I have a few problems with Apache 2.0.47:

1) When I shut it down, sometimes I get a message box that says "Apache.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created." However, it shuts down properly. Why does this happen? This happens both on Windows 2000 Workstation and NT 4 Server.

2) On NT 4 Server, Apache won't start when installed as a service. However, it runs perfectly as a console. When I try to start it with apache -k start, it doesn't give any errors, but it doesn't start either.

3) When Apache is running as a console, apache -k shutdown doesn't shut it down. Instead, it generates an error "No installed service named Apache2".

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I have solved the first 2 problems. However, I still have trouble with #3. Does anybody know if apache -k shutdown still works when Apache runs in console mode, or is the documentation incorrect?

Thanks.

Hi dds82,

can you explain how you solved problem 1)? I have the same troubles.

Thanks
