Hi,
That message indicates that the database username/password is not set for that report - go to the CMC and be sure the default dataabse information is correct and that the 'prompt user for log on info..' is not checked..

Hi turk
ok i have main report
that connects to a SQL database
in the sub report it links to an excel sheet that has no user id or password assign
i do pick a parameter from that excel sheet

Hi,
Where is the Excel spreadsheet?

Be sure the account that the CRXI Server's services run under has all the needed file system permissions to access both the Sql server database and the Excel spreadsheet..

hi Turk
I'm log as admin on crystal server XI
in the infoview i see the report and when i check the schedule and lookup all the tab for log on i see both the sql database with the database name and logon info
then i see the excel spreadsheet with location and user id and password (there blank there is no id or password assign to that sheet)
the parameter is set i look at it and its there
not sure whats the problem????????????

This might just be a quirk. But where the check box is for prompting the user for login info is.

Mark it, then un mark it, then hit update.

Don't know why or how, but occasionally that error will pop up on me for reports that normally run on schedule just fine.

I check and uncheck, update and don't have a problem again.

Hi,
When a scheduled report runs, it runs under the Report Job Server's credentials not yours..( at least in Enterprise it does, I assume the same in CR Xi Server)..

hi turk
I found that the excel sheet reside on a secure server and i have no access to it.
I copy the excel sheet to my local drive and it works.
One thing bothers me when i was ask to specifiey the location in witch i would like my files to appear i select my c drive then next it ask me what categories in with my file would appear i select corporate categories and added folder call Expedite
when i schedule the report it does appear in the folder on my c drive but in the expedite folder it's blank.
Where is that folder store anyway?

thanks
