error on "add new link" template

I have sharepoint wss 2003 with a SQL back end. I was fooling around with the site today and messed it up. Somehow I changed the original NewForm.aspx file for the default /Lists/Links area. So now when I click on "Add new link" I get directed to /_layouts/1033/error.aspx which says:

Error
This form is not available for this list, discussion board, survey, or document library.

When I open the NewForm.aspx file in FrontPage to Preview it I get the following:

Error rendering Web Part: New Item

Can anyone help me with this please? I don't know HTML so I can't tell if there's a problem in the file or not.
