error on permissions when trying to create msgbox 1

I am trying to set up interdev and iis 5.0. I can get pages to load and I can get simple asp functions like =Now() to work. However, if I try anything else I get the following error:

"An exception of type "Microsoft VB Script runtime error:
Permission denied 'msgbox" was not handled"

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

try this at the bottom of a page

</script>

I suspect you are trying it server side, message box only works client side.
