error on login : no home directory 1

hi,
i use sun fire v120,after i rebooted the server and login i get the message like :

Couldn't run your "cron" job Content-Length: 167 Your "cron" job on <host> couldn't be run can't change directory to your home directory. Your commands will not be executed. The error was "No such file or directory"

i have defined my home dir in a diff partition, and now that partion is not getting shown.
so can anybody please help?

Can you do an fsck on the errant partition?

I want to be good, is that not enough?

Also, is that partition supposed to be automatically mounted on boot? See your vfstab.
