I use sk98. System was working just fine until I downloaded a windows xp update. now i get the following error msg when i try to access sk; not enough memory. it appears sk is trying to load since it opens the initial screen showing a bar opening from left to right. then it stops about half-way and the error msg appears. any suggestions? in advance, thanks for the help.

Dear tseman,
Are you sure it didn't crash before you got that error?
Close Sidekick with Task Manager, or Reboot and don't open it.
Using Windows Explorer check your Userdata Folder and you will probably (hopefully) see a Cardfile named:
Untitled.SKCard

Using Windows Explorer, copy any Cardfile
(*.SKCard) and then paste it into the same folder and Call it
Untitled.SKTmpCard
Ignore the message that comes up and says if you change a files' extension it may become unusable, then Open Sidekick and go to
File|Close Cardfiles
and select Untitled and press OK
you should then find Sidekick operates normally.
Post back if that doesn't work

Jim, Thanks for the suggestion. I checked but there is no such file. Onward & upward.

As a last resort, what would you think about me reloading my sidekick97 program since it is the last disk I have and then updating the skw98 program from that?

For that matter, if I knew where I could purchase a copy of SKW98, I would do so and move past this frustration. I've looked at other calendar programs and I feel somewhat like a junkie, I love my sidekick and do not want to migrate to another program. Cheers, Terry
