error mount failed

I am trying to backup a drive on our nt server running BE7.

If I run the job, it just states on hold (failed).

I can't get it to backup anything.

the actual log states:

No appendable media could be mounted.
error - mount failed
Physical volume library media not found.

I've changed the tapes and done all the usual checks but stuck as to the next episode.

Any help appreciated.

Try erasing a tape before you use it & see if it makes any difference.

Theory being you tapes you could be putting in the drive could still have an overwite protection period let on them.
