Hi,
I am new to this site and am somewhat new to Backup Exec. However, I have set it up at several client sites with minimal problems. At the most recent site, however, I am having extensive problems and errors. Though I think I have cleaned up most of them the latest seems so simple and yet I can't figure it out. The log reads as follows:
============================================================
Job server: xxxxx (I am protecting my client here )
Job name: xx Backup - Full
Job started: Wednesday, January 09, 2002 at 11:30:04 PM
Job type: Backup
Job Log: BEX58.txt
============================================================
Error - Mount failed.
^ ^ ^ ^ ^
User canceled a Physical Volume Library operation.
============================================================
Job ended: Friday, January 11, 2002 at 8:59:17 AM
Job completion status: Canceled by xxxxx\Administrator
============================================================
This is just the latest in a series of errors... though we had failures based on xxx is a corrupt file... file cannot verify, etc. I believe those issues are resolved. I have done everything from changing out tapes to blowing away and re-establishing the back-up parameters and it keeps failing... though some of the status:failed with the corrupt files I believe are actually good back-ups that would work. The bottom line is the client won't be happy with a status: failed and I am wondering if it is really a myriad of different issues or if perhaps the drive itself is going bad, as the backup worked perfectly every day since we installed it for like the first week and a half and hasn't worked at all right since (about three weeks now)... any ideas? Sorry so long.
