I was building a database and everything was going OK, when the next time I loaded it, problems started to happen. I open a form, make a selection from a combo box and a message “MODULE NOT FOUND” comes up. I click OK on the message box and another message comes up “YOU CANCELLED THE PREVIOUS OPERATION”, I may have to click OK on the message box several times for it to close, this happens with most combo boxes on different forms. Another problem was happening where I make a new record in a form and use the After Update of the form to update a combo box in another form and the error message states "IT CAN NOT FIND THE FORM". The only thing I did do at one stage was select Tools/Database Utilities/Compact and Repair Database. Even after I had done this, the database was working OK.
I would appreciate any help as to what went wrong and fixing the problem, along with preventing it happening again.

Hi,

Whenever you run 'Compact & Repair' - always ensure you have a copy of the original database.

You have said that you ran 'Compact & Repair', and that all was fine. How deep did you go into the app. to assume it was 'fine'? If you run the same forms now (that were fine) are they still fine? - probably.

It doesn't sound too serious, in the sense that it sounds like you have lost a 'module', (a file that contains VB code and I don't think that you'll have had much in there).

When it gives you an error - make a note of everything it gives you and reply here again.

Darrylles, Thank you for the reply, below are the error messages while running the database.
“MODULE NOT FOUND” “YOU CANCELLED THE PREVIOUS OPERATION”, (I did not cancel anything) "CAN NOT FIND THE FORM". It was a small database, with little data and I have started to rebuild. Yes, I am very stupid, not to have a backup, must remember next time. My main concern is why it could it happen and if so, is there any way to search (I do not know where) for the missing modules, or is this near impossible?
