On boot up I get the message- Are you sure you want to remove..."and all of its components". I check no and it goes away. The computer continues to boot during the process. What is this message and what happens if I check "yes"?

You need to include more information.

Details. Details. Details.

What kind of computer ?
Is it a manufactures version of Windows (like Compaq)?

Full message.

What OS ?

** DO you know how to EDIT YOUR CONFIG.SYS & AUTOEXEC.BAT ?

I have a compaq presario with the manufactures version of windows 98 installed.

I got a windows socket error - address family not support by protocol and OLE32.dll file error display when system start up. Also,IE 5.0 and netscape4.77 was not browsing to internet.

It does not mentioned any equipment. It is an open ended question like this:

"Are you sure you want to remove .....and all its components?"
