Hi, All,

When I click "add new" buttom, show up the error message:
"You can't go to the specified record". I didn't know it.

Thanks help me out.

Karen

Did this happen on a form you made yourself, or were you trying to use someone else's database?

This 'Add New' button, are you speaking of the small arrow with a * by it that shows up on the navigation bar of each form or is this a custom button built into your database?

If you are speaking of the navigation bar, it is possible that the "Allow Additions" property of the form is set to No disabling your ability to add new records.

If you are speaking of a custom "Add New" button, then you will need to view the code for the On_Click event of the button. The correct command to add a new record (assuming you want to add a new record to the same form that the button is on) in code is:

DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNewRec

I hope this helps you a little bit, but again I'm not sure what your problem even is.

Hello!
I would like to help you but without more info on that matter there isn't much i can do or tell, that Sameal didn't tell you already!

Post more info, in order to help you!!
As to the command button if you use the wizard, in record operations (i think), there is an option on the wizzard that can help you! try it!
