Hmmm...
I have an win2k server and a couple of XP Pro boxes in a workgroup configuration which until recently used to talk to each other fine.
Now I cannot browse the network on the XP boxes. If I try, I get the error message "workgroup not accessible". If I search for a computer, I can find it and use the shares OK.
I am using dynamic ip's, DHCP is from the router and DNS is from my isp. I have tried static ip's (no good), enabling netbios (no good), using WinsockFix to clean up the registry. It works great but that wasn't the problem. checked the Computer Browser service is running, it is on the server.
Now this may have started when I introduced a linux box running samba into the network but can't say for sure. I understand that samba may upset the windows computer browser.
Over to you.
Regards
Keith
