I just created a new company in Mscola ES version 9.6.100 and have the chart of accounts entered, and most of the set-ups completed. However, when i go to create a new vendor type i get an error message. I also open the AP trx screen, when i double click the menu option nothing happens. Guessing these are probably related.

I have administrator rights to the entire database as well.

The error message that i am getting when i open up the AP Vendor Maintaince (System / Financial / Accounts Payables / Vendor Types (A/P) screen and it errors out when i click on 'New' button. I am attaching screen shots of the error i receive. There are 2 screenshots so i could get all the verbage of the error.

It starts off, "The following error has occurred in MacMSL.dll
DBNETLIB ConnectionOpen Connect SQL server does not exist or access is denied"

when you hit the details button on the error is continues to read:
'MSL Technical Error Info:

Can you verbally explain what you error you are getting when you attempt to add a new vendor type?

This error is indicative of a communication issue on the server. If this is happening you should be getting it intermittently all over the place, not just AP vendor type maintenance. Is this happening on all workstation or just one?
