Error Message when opening word document.

Hi guys; how are you.

I get a problem when trying opening a word document.
I uninstalled office 2003 and reinstalled it again with all updates, and i still have the problem. I went to another machine and the document was opened without problems.

The error message says:

The document xxxxx.doc caused a serious error last time it was opened. Would you like to continue opening it?

I hope you guys help me with this issue.

Sounds like "guitarzan" has given you the solution. Maybe you could make a copy of the file on the other machine, delete the original, and replace it with the copy?

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right-click your Drive icon/ Properties/ Tools/ Error Checking. Select both boxes.
