Error Message when opening Access Database from Hyperlink

I have created an Access Database and have hyperlinked it to an company intranet website via a hyperlink, however, I get the following error message everytime I click on the hyperlink.

"Access to the specified device, path, or file is denied."

I can ignore it, click okay and continue on to the database, but I would like to eliminate the error message so I don't confuse my end users. Any suggestion?

Can you give us details of the hyperlink, and whether you can open the db ok without using the hyperlink.
