Error message when installing NFuse Web Extensions on IIS 5

hello. I uninstalled citrix nfuse 1.51 web extensions for IIS 5 and attempted to reinstall from the CD. WhenI run the setup for the NFuse Web extensions, I get the following message after the iinitial percentage bar reaches 100%

"error_stop_iisdir_not_writable - entry not found in the sting table"

After clicking OK, I get a Red X box that just has a title of "Severe" and that is it. the install aborts. Any ideas?

Of course, I made sure that the c:\inetpub\

http://wwwroot

was writeable. and I am logged on as a domain admin.

The NFuse Web Extension setup looks for the URL root " the physical directory that maps to the URL “/” " in the following registry value: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\InetStp\ Path
