Out of the blue we are having an issue with our printer HP PSC 1600. When we turn it on we get three messages with the on light flashing:
1) no mech mode
2) Used black ink printer cartridge installed. Press ok to continue
3) Used tri-colour ink printer cartridge installed. Press okay to continue.
When I press okay the light stops flashing and it says ready but as soon as I go to print I get the 'this document failed to print' message come up and then it comes up printing on the printer display and the on button flashes again. At this point I can't turn it off at the machine but have to unplug it.
Any assistance would be helpful. Thanks
