Error message return by Legato

Dear all expert,

I'm using Legato 6.2 to backup my Win2000 server. But from last week, the error message was occured. It prompt me " probindex uasm: xdr flush failed".
Any one got this problem before and how to fix? Many thanks for your great help.

Hi,

sounds like an index corruption. Is this only for one client or for all backups ?

If for a single client then try a cross-check

nsrck -L5 <client> - you can use any level from 1-7 (7 will rebuild the index from tape)

If it's across the board then it may be a media database corruption so try

nsrim -X

This either points to a defective client file index or just
a hard disk problem. Make sure chkdsk runs successfully on
this partition.
