Need some help.
I've a Nortel Meridian 1 Option 11.
When I login to the system, I'm getting the following:
ERR5098

This message scrolls constantly on the screen. I’ve been able to locate what this means (to Nortel) but I don’t know what action to take. From what I’ve gleaned from the NTP’s is this isn’t a big deal (famous last words) but should be addressed.

Any words of wisdom?

How do I get the system to stop scrolling the message?

Thanks.

do you get any other information with the err code. a hex digit, tn or dn? that msg without a pointer is usually a patch problem. check your patch level against known patches for your switch type and rls. to find that information for your site.. ld 22 issp.. the problem with that or any err msg is that it takes backplane and cpu time. enough of those during a peak time, may start to cause ini's due to mem problems...

john,

Thanks for the reply. As it turns out, it was cabling issue. Thanks again!
