I get a message from my formula that says :

"The formula result must be a number"

Any ideas what I need to change. I'm sure it's a string but I'm not sure.

thanks,

My kids spray-painted my crystal ball this morning, so I'm afraid I have to ask for some more information:

- Text of the formula.
- What kind of formula (conditional formula for an object on the report, calculation based on field values, etc)?
- CR Version.

Ok, sorry, my first time here.

What I'm trying to do is generate a conditional formula that will have the whole row turn red if the Ratio of Cost to charge (calculation based formula)is greater than 1.

{@RCC (Center )} > 1

Crystal 8.5

So I assume you're doing this on the Back Color conditional formula. The result of the formula needs to be a color constant, something like this should be what you're looking for:

If {@RCC (Center )} > 1 then
crRed
Else
crWhite
