error message in excel

Whilst working on excel I tried to save my document only to see the
following message :
"The instructions at "0x01c29bb5" referenced memory at "0x01c29bb5".
The memory could not be read"
Click on OK to terminate the application.
Click on cancel to debug the application."

Upon choosing OK the whole thing disappeared and I lost my work
