Error message in Excel

I have just been loading Office XP for a friend, and getting rid of all the extra programmes Dell slip in. However, when I open Excel I get the message "compile error in hidden module. Auto Exec New" and when I close the message is "compile error in hidden module DistMon" I am sure it is something to do with Acrobat as Acrobat would nor fully load. I removed the Acrobat PDFMaker template from the startup which cured the message from Word but stumpted on how to resolve the Excel message.

Any ideas would help.
