when opening a vidio file with windows media player I get an error message "cant find library file cpuinf32.dll" followd by "cant find mplupx.dll"
This isnt usually associated media player but more than likely a third party software package.
Do you have ARCSoft's ShowBiz installed?
If so remove it.

After doing some research it looks like a dodgy codec is the most likely problem, most likely installed by third party software.
