Error message...check SCSI cable

I am running backup exec v8 for netware...sometimes the job will stay active with the following message...check SCSI cable of try a different tape.

I have a compaq proliant server..
I am using NWASPI and CPQSCSI.HAM

i have tryed new cables and new tapes...This does not happen alot but it still happens..

Any help would be appreciated.

Is this a SCSI Timeout Message?
I have had a SCSI Timeout occur on several of my Dell Poweredge Servers running BE 8.5 and Quantum DLT Drives.... and I was able to cure things by reducing the Adaptec SCSI BIOS Speed down to the lowest setting possible...

Try using a cleaning tape in your drive, too. I get this error whenever I forget to clean my drive.
