We have Aloha 6.7 how can increase the check limit so we can add additional items to the check. Right now after 8-10 items it gives me an error message on the terminals: "Check limit has been reached. No additional items can be added to this check." This just started happening.

Do you have guest counts on and a threshold set? it is under store setting order entry

Yes, it's set do you think turning it off will help?

I turned the guest count option off and that didn't fix it.

What sub version do you have ill log into a client and check setting on a live site.

What do you mean by sub version? We have Aloha 6.7

6.7.XX go to a term when it is floating and look at the bottom next to aloha it will say 6.7.XX what are the last 2 numbers

Close Aloha Manager
Open up explorer and browse to %iberdir%\newdata

c:\bootdrv\aloha\newdata or something like this

look for aloha.ini
Open in notepad
look for
"MAXITEMSONCHECK"

whatever you have =### change to

"MAXITEMSONCHECK=1000"
Close notepad, save on exit
open Aloha Manager
Refresh data

You now will be able to put up to 1000 items on a check

I did most of my clients use it ill start making sure i put in both fixes

AlohaRoss: It was on 2000 so I changed the MAXITEMONCHECK=1000, did the refresh and I am still having the same issue. Seems like it's not 8-10 items we are not able add which I originally thought was the problem. The problem is when the check amount is more $99. How can I increase the dollar amount limit per check. I think that is why that error is coming out.

I figured it out. It was the max check amount, which is Aloha Manager under maintenance - Store Settings - Security - Restrictions tab.
