Error Message Booking Resources In Outlook

A computer in our network is giving an error message when we try to book a boardroom for a meeting in Microsoft outlook, Operation failed An object could not be found unable to directly book resource for this meeting.
Has anyone come across this error and have any fixes for it.

My first off the wall guess which has probably already been thought of and looked into is that the person trying to book the board room does not have permission to book the room.

We have meeting rooms in our organization in outlook and they are restricted so that only the "official" meeting organizers can reserve them.

That would be the first place I would look if you haven't already. If you have an exchange server go in and see who the owner (properties) of the room is (I assume its under Public Folders) and who else has rights to schedule it.
