Error loading Analytics Catalog

hi,

When i try to start the Siebel Analytics Web it gives me the error "Siebel Analytics Web failed to initialize". I checked the event log it gives the error "Error loading Analytics Catalog". Would really appreciate if anybody can help me with this.

What is the exact NQS Error number?

Have you checked to see if the webcat file is corrupted or not? What happens if you rename the webcat to another name and rerun the Analytics Web service? Does it build another webcat file (typically "default.webcat" in 7.5.3 or below or "SiebelAnalytics.webcat" in 7.7 or above)?

Try creating a Backup subdir off the \Catalog directory and move all the files to it, leaving \Catalog empty, except for the subdir. Then restart the Analytics Web service and see if it doesn't recreate the webcat file. If it does, then there is something wrong with the original webcat file you are loading.
