Error is driving me crazy

I am using Crystal Reports 9.2 and I am getting a error that is driving me nuts.

I have an existing report that I am trying to modify for someone. The report runs just fine as it stands but as soon as I add a new table in the database expert and link it properly I get the following errors:
"Failed to open a rowset" I click on this dialog box and get a new one with "Query Engine Error: 'This query cannot be performed. An illegal link cycle was detected'.

The table is linked properly and when I remove the table the error continues until I close CR and open the report in a new sesson of CR and then it runs fine.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,
What Database and connection type?

What are the linked tables/fields and in what order are they linked?

What type of link ( =, Outer, etc..)
