Error installing Exch DB agent on 2003 Sp2 Cluster 1

I have just rebuilt a 2003 sp2 cluster to R2 Enterprise from 2003 ent sp1.

I get an error in the install process for the CV 6.1 database agent that states :-

Setup failed to add the backup DLL path for ESEBCLI2 to the CVD environment path.

The base node file agent, cluster data migrator and cluster file agents all work fine.

Any ideas, sounds like a installer issue

I worked it out. Looks like its a 6.1 installer issue with creating a registry key on R2. Manually adding it resolved the issue.

Of note, the installer doesn't create the key on the other node which would explain why database backups of exchange never seem to work when theres a node failover. I always assumed it was a reboot issue but never was in a enviroment where a reboot could be done. Useful info for anyone that runs exch 2003 with cv in a cluster.
