Error: incompatible Tape

Hi,
We ordered one StorageTek L20 with one HP Ultrium LTO 2 drive. The tape is Maxell Ultrium LTO 2 tape. The backup system is BackupExec 9.1. The library can recongize the tapes. And we can import and export the tapes. But we cannot inventory them. When we do the inventory, it reports "incompatible storage media detected in robotic library"
Please help.

Have you assigned the proper media type to the volume pool?

What is the volume pool? How to assign the media type?

I believe STK-L20s have a barcode reader.

Please make sure you have the proper barcode on the tape.

It will have the L2 designator on the label for gen-2 tapes.
