While creating users in User Manager I received an error similar to the following:

"Error creating user... group name not found"

Now I can't modify or delete the user entry. Is there a way to correct this without having to reload the NOS? I searched the registry for the username and did not find it there (didn't think I would). This is part of NT's security, however there must be some kind of user data somewhere. Has anyone else had this problem?

Goshh...

Di you ever make a Emergency Repair disk?
With the /s option you would have a backup of you SAM database.

Which to me, looks like it could be corrupt!
L8ter!

Just a though - it shouldn't work, anyway :) - have you tried to create the exact group name after the fact?

After rebooting, SAM might (very unlikely, though, because UID's) establish a correllation between the two.

Again - just a thought...
