We have 2 reports built using Crystal v4. They have been working correctly for the last 2 months but now the following error message appears when the report is run.

Error Title: - Error in saved records

Error Text: - Random access to unknown record.

Has anyone come accross this error before and , more importantly, does anyone know what is causing it.

Thanks in advance,

John.

If you can open the report, make sure the "save data with report" option is unchecked. Then resave the report and let us know what happens. Software Sales, Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

Thanks for the response. I had already tried you suggestion but to no avail.

The code has been written to send the crystal output directly to the printer. However, when the report is empty, i.e. there are no records to report, the above error message appears. When I click on OK the report is then sent to the printer and prints OK. The report is generated with Report Header and Footer information, as the user requires nil reports to be printed.
