Error in Management Console

Hello,
I have created a report using an odbc connection to a Linux MySQL-DB-Server.(works fine)
I started the Enterprise Management Console, which is placed on a different computer.
On this Computer I also installed an odbc connection to the DBS(works fine too)
In the CMC I gave the correct information concerning the
database such as :
datasource, user, password,databasename.
When I start to create a new instance (the way it is called in germany), i get the following error message.
<<SQL Server cannot be opened>>
Both ODBC connections are called equal.
I have no idea of solving this problem.

Hi there,
everything works fine now.
worked on two different systems and created an odbc on each system that was depending on the user-id of each system.
So I had to define an System-Odbc-Connection(not user-odbc).
server can be found now...that´s for all newbies
