Hi

I'm new to COM+. I'v made a simple component using VB.NET.
Then i used the Regasm.exe command for creating tlb and registering it. I also registered the .dll in GAC , using gacutil
But when i try to install the component through COM+ explorer using 'Component Install Wizard' or by drag drop method , the following error comes
" one or more files do not contain components or type libraries. These files can not be installed"

Please help me out , wat step am i missing and wat does this error mean?

Thanks in advance Regards SA

I think the answer may lie in searching MSDN for 'Serviced Component'. The MSDN link with VS.NET Pro installed is :

ms-help://MS.VSCC/MS.MSDNVS/cpguide/html/cpconservicedcomponentoverview.htm

Type that into ie.

I'm checking it now...
