Software Install
State is -Required
type is - UpgradeOffline
file transfer type - 3300FTPPULL
FTP server IP is - 10.0.0.1
FTP user is - user
help file installation is not required
Current partition is 1/RTC8260

Retrieving - installedversion.txt
initiating transfervia remote FTP server to read installedversion.txt
Attempt 1 of 3
Error in initiating transfer via remote FTP server
s_errno_ETIMEOUT
File transfer failure

I am not doing an upgrade or software install.
How do I clear this error to enable the system to complete boot?

stop the boot process and look at the boot parameters. They should like this:

boot device : ata=00
unit number : 0
processor number : 0
host name : bootHost
file name : /partition1/Rtc8260
inet on ethernet (e) : 192.168.180.10:ffffff00
host inet (h) : 192.168.1.187
gateway inet (g) : 192.168.180.1
user (u) : ftp
ftp password (pw) : ftp
flags (f) : 0x0
other (o) : motfcc

The ip addresses should be your own
I suppose you're entitled to your opinion, I'm just not going to suppose very hard.

Hi nytalkin.
The boot parameters are exactly like that.
The only difference is that other (o) : qefcc

Ended up doing a fresh install of the software but would have loved to understand the fault.
