Error in FSINFOSECTOR

My mouse freezes when I attempt to enter to windows me. However if I shut down without exiting windows, upon restarting, the scan disk finds an "error in FSINFOSECTOR" and fixes it. This continues to occur - any ideas how I can find and permanently fix this error.
 
You will probably keep receiving that error message if you continue to shut down the system without exiting Windows.

It appears that the important thing here is to fix your mouse problem so that you do not have to do the above.
See if the mouse works in Safe mode.
If not, then reinstall its drivers.
If no luck, then try a different mouse.

If the mouse works in Safe mode, then do a clean boot to troubleshoot the problem:
