Help needed!!
I have a report that runs fine in Crystal but once been passed to run through an application and it produce this error.
"Error in formula . '( ' A string is required here. Details: errorKind"

It doesn't matter what you have in the record formula selection it will grab the first string and display the error.

Any one has experience this or know how to trouble shoot it.

Thanks
Samir

Which version of Crystal? Which application?

In Crystal, you can get this error if you mix 'string' and numerics in a formula field. The answer is to use ToText to convert the number.

Thanks Madawc, I run Crystal V. 10 the application is a custom application build in Java and connect to an oracle database.

I will try to double check all the formulas I have on that report and see if there is any that mixed string and numbers.

Thanks for the tip.
