I get the following error after logging into database as soon as I try to open (click on) any input screen.
Schema check failed,Field count different in sycdefil_sql msl

Any SQL table it tries to open that is *fil_sql

Thanks,

More details, please. Fresh install or conversion? Server OS? Are you logging into macola & getting the error or into EM and getting the error? Macola has extensive instructions on configuring sql server & setting db permissions in the manual. Did you follow these instructions, etc........

Most likely, the sycdefil_msl is not the correct version. Since you're on a, you had to upgrade from 300. Just guessing, but the server is windows 2003. My advice would be to see the doc that Macolahelp recommended, then fake it into dumping the contents into a dummy folder and manually copy the files to the msl folder. That way, you can be certain that the correct files are in place. The Windows 2003 gotcha that got you with the Macola upgrade can very well get you with the hot topic as well.

To create a dummy folder for installing any Macola hot topic to a place other than the Macola root directory, you should do the following.

1. Create a folder somewhere on your workstation, server.
2. Copy the Macola7.cfg and macpaths.dll from your Macola root directory to this new folder.
3. Execute hot topic and point it to the folder you created in step 1.
