I am attempting to set up a BCM 400 3.6 to use CDR on a customers site.

First step would be to edit or create a user account to add into the CDRUsergroup. Making ANY change ( password changes even ), either adding or editing gives me this error :

Generic Error. ( Error in getting RAS User Accounts Server ) [11.1.36]

I have given the box a soft and hard reboot with the same results. My Password policy is set to 0 with a min length of 5. Any insight would be appreicated !

Thanks

I dont know about that user account problem so far... but i can advise u to use the push and not the pull setting... As i know there have been always problems about the pull setting.. but the push works very well... ;O)

Just as a FYI, this issue was caused by changing the BCM workgroup assignment.

Bumping this as I am still having the issue. I have fully patched the box last night ( July 18 ) and have tried Universal profiling it.

Still cannot create, modify or do anything in the usergroup.

Wanted to see if there was any input before I re-image the BCM

It is actually BCM 400 3.7, not 3.6

Thanks

Put the BCM back in Workgroup and see what happens there. I've had lots of things go crazy when putting the BCM into a domain.

First I did was throw the BCM back into workgroup. Its crazy that all this trouble would start with that :)

anybody ever figure this out? I'm getting the same error

Thought I would follow up with my findings, in case anybody else runs across this. You need to change the NAME of the BCM to anything other than what it currently is, then soft boot the machine. After this, you can create a new user account with no error message. Then you cane rename the machine back to what it was. Hope this helps!!

Awesome !!

That worked like a charm. You saved me a BCM re-image thomen00.

How did you figure that out ?
