Here is my situation. We are running WIndows 2000 server wSP3/along with
Metaframe XP with SR2.There are 5 meta servers .We have 37 remote sites connecting over a
combination of 56k/T1 frame relays. My problem is this a few of my remote
users who are running WIn95/WIN NTWS / SP6,WIN98/win2k are recieving an Error message
which reads as follows"Network or dialup problems are preventing
communication with the Citrix server. An attempt to automatically restore the
connection will begin after a delay to the network recover. If the problem
persists,please contact your network administrator."
This users have been connecting to the farm for about 2 months now all of a
sudden we are experiencing this error message. At the remote sites it is only
one pc that is recieving this error message.I have reinstalled the client
from cd and also from the web.I can ping loopback, default gateway, and meta
servers.I can browse to meta servers.I also checked the terminal server license service is running and is registered with MS.I also tried deleting the license key, but no help If anyone has any ideas it would be
very much appreciated.

I was able to get feature release 2 to install on XP server. I downloaded it from Citrix's knowledgebase site. They claim that you can only use it to upgrade to service pack 2, but I think all they did was mess with the path to one of the msi files. I copied one msi to the root directory, and it installed after that. I'm just having trouble with one of the licenses, so I can't say for sure if it will actually work. I'm not using it for anything but training, so I hope I don't get banned or piss anyone off for talking about ripped / hacked software. I complains at the end of the install, but from what I can tell, it does work as is. Unless the error I'm getting isn't caused by my citrix server being unlicensed. I get a Transport Driver Error, when I try to start an ICA session. My understanding is that if a server isn't licensed, no one can connect at all, so that's what I figured was going on. Other than the connections, everything else looks ok, I can publish applications, and do just about any other admin task, but I can't get the most important license to work. Do they still offer the trail version by chance??
